Placement Student

Alex is a placement student currently studying Mathematics, Accounting, and Financial Management at Loughborough University. As part of his degree, Alex is completing a year in industry to gain a better understanding of the practical applications of the knowledge and theory he has acquired during his studies.

Alex has been involved in a range of tasks, including assisting with client accounts, supporting audit processes, and contributing to financial reporting and bookkeeping. This placement allows him to develop skills in tax preparation, compliance, and data analysis, while offering valuable insight into how accounting practices operate in real-world business settings.

While on a placement at Page Kirk, Alex will also be studying the CFAB qualification which consists of the first 6 modules of the ACA qualification. This will provide him with a strong foundation if he decides to become a chartered accountant after university.

Through this hands-on experience, Alex hopes to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical work, enabling him to apply these insights to his final year at university. His ultimate goal is to strengthen his expertise and build a solid foundation for a successful career in the accounting and finance industry.
