Limited Company Start-up

From the legal requirements through to the tax implications, Page Kirk understands just what’s involved in setting up a business and can make the process completely seamless.

Forming a Limited Company certainly shouldn’t be daunting or something to worry about. Let our team demystify the incorporation process and provide you with a fast and efficient company formation service. Your new company will be up and running within 24 hours, and we will provide you with all your incorporation documents, including a certificate of incorporation and your articles of association.

We can help you with several essential processes involved in setting your company up correctly, including:

  • Choosing the right structure for your company
  • Choosing a company name
  • Checking the company name is available to use
  • Designation of director(s) and company secretary
  • Designation of shareholders
  • Identification of any other people with significant control of your company
  • Creating a memorandum of association and article of association

The administrative processes required to set up your business include all of the legal requirements regarding registration, as well as meeting your tax obligations. These processes can be time-consuming, especially if this is the first company you have incorporated, which is why many businesses choose to outsource the work to an expert accountancy firm.

What information will we need?

  • Your new company name
  • Your business’ activity
  • What address you want to use as the company’s registered office address
  • Who the company director(s) and company secretary (not mandatory) will be
  • Who the company shareholders will be

We will check that your company name is available, as it can’t be the same as one used by another business.

You must appoint a company director, but are not required to appoint a company secretary if you don’t want to. However, for companies with one director it is often advisable to appoint a company secretary who will be able to deal with the company’s statutory responsibilities in the event that the sole director cannot, for whatever reason. Once you have provided this information, we will update you as soon as your company is up and running. Our experienced team will be available to support you with any queries you may have about the company set-up process, and we can advise you how to set up your company structure in the most tax-efficient way.

After your company is set up, it will be a seamless process if you choose Page Kirk to handle your limited company accounting and your dedicated account manager will be with you for every step of your business journey. We can help you to navigate the challenges you will encounter in your first few years of business and provide expert advice that can support your company’s growth.

Choosing a company’s registered address

A company’s registered address, and the service address of a company’s directors, will be held on public record. If your business has its own office or premises, then this would typically be used as both the company and the directors’ addresses. If, however, you run your business from home, then you may wish to keep your home address off of public record. Page Kirk offers a registered office address service – you can use our office address as your company address and we will sort and forward all of your business post.
