Life at Page Kirk

One-team feel.

Jack Moore

“At Page Kirk we believe it is important your experience of coming to work is enriched by the relationships that you make both in and out of the office. The sense of camaraderie amongst our team is inspiring, and a friendly helping hand is always available for those who need it within our ranks. There is no social divide at any level of our organisation, from partners through to trainees – everybody is approachable, collaboration is encouraged, and our one-team feel is echoed throughout the firm. We appreciate that a happy team ultimately results in happy clients. We are proud of our people and being part of the Page Kirk team stands our people in great stead for their careers.”

Our People

As a service business, our people are the single-most important part of our organisation and, without them, our firm would not be able to operate. This is why we prioritise upholding our culture of nurturing and developing our people across all experience levels.

We focus intently on everyone’s personal development and welfare. There is always room to grow, and we are always looking to provide our people with career opportunities. This makes for a fulfilling environment and is well received throughout our workplace.

We recognise that good ideas come from within all areas of our team, and to make sure that everyone has a platform from which to be heard, we hold regular one-to-one check-ins, to encourage our people to voice their opinions.

We love working as part of a team which shares a great level of camaraderie. We are comfortable in the knowledge that help is available from other members of our team should we need somebody to lean on for advice or guidance. From our admin team to our partners, from our trainees to our senior managers, everyone is immensely proud of working towards our common goal of setting ourselves apart from other firms.

Our Social Club

Social Club

We make social activities a regular part of life at Page Kirk, which help give the chance for everyone to relax and get to know each other outside of a work environment. We organise a firm-wide annual summer event each year and have previously taken the Nottingham Princess River Cruise or held a BBQ at Hart’s Hotel in Nottingham. We always have our annual Christmas party, where we try to find the most exciting venue around to host us each year.

Between our scheduled summer and Christmas events, there are always ad-hoc social activities the team are planning, which everyone can get involved in. Our team have enjoyed Nottingham Panthers games together, watching the cricket at Trent Bridge, fun days out at Donington Park and Silverstone for the motor racing, and we’re regularly going out for food and drinks after hours. We also hold regular in-house activities such as quizzes, baking competitions and charity raffles.

There is always something social in the calendar at Page Kirk, and there is always something for everyone to get involved with.

Our Charity Work

We prioritise corporate social responsibility by encouraging our people to engage with, and give back to, communities to help make a difference. We give back to communities through our charitable initiative where we choose a different charity to support each year. We’ve previously supported Meningitis Now, Emmanuel House, When You Wish Upon a Star, The Dyslexia Association, Artcore, and Rainbows Hospice.

Monthly dress-down days, charity games in the office and charity quizzes all help contribute to raising funds for the amazing causes that we support, alongside bigger events such as our 24-hour static bike ride challenge and running/walking/cycling the distance between Nottingham and Lapland to help sick children make memories by visiting Santa.

Our Future Leaders

We recognise that the younger stars amongst us are the future business leaders. That’s why we invest time engaging and building strong relationships with our local universities. We showcase industry opportunities and offer advice on careers to help support students deciding on their future career path.

We are proud of our respected reputation for being an eminent ICAEW training firm. We have established graduate and placement student programmes, where we welcome new trainees every year to launch their career and to gain a wealth of hands-on experience with real responsibility.

We feel it is important to give our employees the best experiences and personal development opportunities. That’s why we have an international secondment programme, where we offer our newly-qualified accountants the opportunity to work in the US for three months – a real once-in-a-lifetime experience that helps broaden their horizons. Our recent exchanges have spent time with firms in Boston, Portland, and San Jose.

We are great believers in promoting from within our team to reward excellent performance and ensure all employees get the career progression they want and deserve.
