The opportunity to work in both tax, and audit and accounts, and audit is rare, and has given me a wide range of experience to apply to my final year at university, as well as a graduate role in the future.”

“I have really enjoyed my placement year at Page Kirk, which has allowed me to gain a greater understanding of the accountancy profession. The opportunity has allowed me to gain skills and knowledge in accounts, tax returns and audit. During my placement I have been able to study towards the certificate level of the ACA qualification (CFAB). This has given me a greater understanding of the accounting profession and set me up to become a chartered accountant when I graduate from university. Everyone at Page Kirk has helped me from transitioning from university to working full time and studying towards the CFAB qualification, which has made me really enjoy my time at Page Kirk because you can always ask for help when needed. The skills I have gained during my placement year will help me in my final year at university and in my future career.”

Following my placement, I returned to Loughborough University to complete my Financial Mathematics degree, graduating with a first. A stand-out feature of the year was the opportunity to complete the first year of the ACA Qualification as part of the CFAB Scheme - everyone at Page Kirk was incredibly helpful in preparing me for this challenge. I was sad to be leaving Page Kirk, and I enjoyed it so much that I returned in 2022 to join their graduate scheme. I am now progressing through the rest of the ACA Qualification and I’m very excited to see where I can go in the future with the new skills I have gained here.”
