In the spirit of giving back to society, Page Kirk has embarked on a remarkable journey of supporting a different charity each month of 2023. Their seventh charity venture took them to the heart of Nottingham, where Amanda Willis, the coordinator of their charity efforts, embraced Stonebridge City Farm. She shares how Page Kirk supported this urban farm charity.

Stonebridge City Farm: More Than Just a Farm

Stonebridge City Farm is an extraordinary urban oasis that extends its nurturing arms beyond just farming activities. While it houses cows, sheep, ponies, goats, birds, pigs, meerkats, and other animals, its true essence lies in the training and educational opportunities it provides to the community and visitors. The farm stands as a pillar of support for over 150 volunteers, many of whom face mental health challenges or have learning disabilities. However, the farm's mission would not be possible without the invaluable support of donations, which enable them to empower the lives of their volunteers and care for their animals.

Page Kirk's Fundraising Initiatives

Throughout July, Page Kirk dedicated their efforts to raise funds for Stonebridge City Farm through a series of creative and enjoyable activities.

Wimbledon-Themed Celebration: At the start of the month, we celebrated the iconic Wimbledon tournament with a delightful twist on a classic. We had strawberry and cream sweets which was served with non-alcoholic Pimm's, made by yours truly. It was made with vinegar and tasted like the real thing!

Table Tennis Tournament: Embracing the Wimbledon theme, a lunchtime table tennis tournament brought out the competitive spirit among our team members. Fun, laughter, and camaraderie filled the office as we played for a cause.

Race Day Extravaganza: Midway through the month, a race day event unfolded, featuring a delectable ploughman's lunch and exhilarating virtual races. The thrilling event brought us together to support the farm's charitable endeavours.

A Personal Touch: My Visit to Stonebridge City Farm

I had the pleasure of visiting Stonebridge City Farm and witnessing the magic firsthand. During my visit, Operations Manager Jon Wragg shared the farm's history, which began as allotments and evolved into a farm in 1977 after the locals got some goats.

Grace Devey, Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator added:

“We want to say a massive thank you for all your fundraising for the farm. It's through support from companies like Page Kirk that allow the farm to continue to do all the work that we do. Your donations will help feed our animals, provide training to our volunteers and improve the farm, thank you!”
