What we are looking for:
We are seeking an accountant with both accounts and audit experience. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge such as auditing techniques, UK GAAP and have awareness of various taxes & know when to refer more complex matters. In addition to being technically knowledgeable you should be a pro-active team leader motivating the team and be commercially minded by identifying and converting opportunities to develop more work. This role is open to candidates who are ACA qualified or ACCA qualified.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit or accounts assignments including the supervision of team members involved with your jobs.
- Forming and nurturing client relationships including meetings on commencement and conclusion of audit and accounts.
- Hands on work with a wide portfolio of clients, addressing issues, identifying risk, and developing a business partner approach.
- Supervising and motivating a team of trainee accountants, offering support and development as needed.
- Acting on opportunities to promote the Firm's services and further develop its client base.
