Page Kirk to Host Annual Accelerate Conference in Nottingham

We're thrilled to announce that Page Kirk Accountants will be hosting the annual Accelerate Conference in Nottingham from 19-21 June 2024. Known for its central location, excellent transport links, and vibrant business environment, we think Nottingham is the ideal venue for this prestigious event.
This year's conference marks a significant departure from previous venues such as Edinburgh, emphasising Nottingham's rising status as a prime business destination. We are excited to highlight what our dynamic city has to offer to our fellow members of the Accelerate community.
Accelerate is a business associate of Crowe Global, a wider network of accounting firms in more than 140 countries throughout the world. Page Kirk, and other member firms, have access to the latest training and technology and are better able to assist our clients' international operations. We are able to offer unique opportunities to our staff too, as a result of relationship, such as a three-month work exchange in America with a CPAmerica firm, also associated with Crowe Global.

The conference is expected to draw over 100 accountants, offering a rich programme of insights and discussions centred around this year's theme "TREE: Technology, Relationships, Environment, and Evolve” – symbolising the interconnected growth and collaborative spirit of our community.
We're proud to present an exceptional lineup of speakers for this year's event, although these are currently under wraps and will be revealed at the conference!
The conference will take place across several venues in the East Midlands. In the day, delegates will be coming together at Crowne Plaza in Nottingham City centre. The first evening will see attendees dining at Trent Bridge, the home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and a stage for the international game.
To end the event, the third evening will be spent at Belvoir Castle. One of England's finest Regency castles, home to the eleventh Duke and Duchess of Rutland. Dating back to 1797, the Belvoir Estate has been passed down through 26 successive generations. The castle has also appeared on the screen, being used in the Netflix series The Crown, standing in for Windsor. It was also used in movies such as The Da Vinci Code.

John Wallis, senior partner of Page Kirk Accountants, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event in Nottingham:
“Nottingham and the surrounding areas are an ideal location for this year's Accelerate conference because of our great location and thriving economy. We're excited to showcase what the city has to offer and provide a platform for our accountancy community to come together and share innovative ideas.”
John also highlighted the social aspects of the conference:
“We have some exciting social activities planned, including an evening at Belvoir Castle, which I'm especially looking forward to. We understand the benefits of face-to-face networking at events like this. It allows us to forge stronger professional relationships and stay at the forefront of industry developments, ultimately benefiting our clients.”
Among the notable attendees are members from AAB Group, Crowe Global, and Mark J Rees LLP, underscoring the diverse representation and collective expertise within the Accelerate community.
Director of Accelerate, Nila Khan stated:
"Our annual conference is a fantastic opportunity for sharing ideas and learning from one another. It's inspiring to connect face-to-face. This event is a great way to celebrate the past 12 months and we are all excited that the conference will be in Nottingham.
Nila also reflected on this year's theme:
“The 'TREE' theme - Technology, Relationships, Environment, and Evolve – highlights a number of components of how our associate firms come together as a network, finding opportunities and embracing challenges. 'Technology' symbolises our commitment to innovation and 'Relationships' emphasises the importance of collaboration and trust. 'Environment' underlines our understanding of the operating environment and commitment to sustainability, while 'Evolve' encapsulates our collective journey of growth and adaptation, taking best practices forward.
“I look forward to gathering in the heart of England and embracing the spirit of 'TREE' as we continue to grow and thrive together.”
We are eagerly preparing for what promises to be an inspiring and transformative event, and we look forward to reconnecting with our fellow Accelerate members in the heart of England.
