Ken Kirk is the ‘Kirk’ in Page Kirk and a founding figure in the firm’s story. Ken established his own accountancy practice from his dining room table in 1976, which later merged with another Nottingham firm to become Page Kirk. His vision, leadership and commitment to clients helped create the strong foundations on which the firm continues to thrive.
Before setting up his own practice, Ken gained extensive experience in both independent accountancy firms and industry, holding senior positions including chief accountant and managing director across private and public companies. This breadth of experience gives him a unique understanding of business challenges and the importance of sound financial guidance.
Ken always believes that good accountancy is about much more than simply producing accounts. He particularly values working with small business clients, taking pride in offering advice and support to help them improve, grow and succeed. Known for his hands-on approach, he enjoys taking “a scruffy set of books” and turning them into proper accounts, helping owners truly see what they had achieved and how to build on it.
Although he retired as a partner in 2005, Ken has never fully taken a back seat. He continues to assist clients in a consultancy capacity, bringing a wealth of experience and maintaining the same personal, practical approach that has defined his career. His ethos of dedication, integrity and genuine care for clients remains central to the Page Kirk way today.
