From Trainee to Assistant Manager - Page Kirk Promotions Recognise Exceptional Work
We are proud to announce two promotions within the firm, as part of our ongoing growth strategy. Many congratulations to Tom Johnson and Luke Shacklock, who are both being promoted to Assistant Manager.
Two team members who joined the firm as placement students whilst at university have both been promoted to Assistant Managers, after not only demonstrating hard work, determination and a willingness to learn, but also a remarkable loyalty to the firm.
Tom Johnson joined Page Kirk as a placement student in 2015/16 and then re-joined the team on our accounting graduate scheme in 2017 having been awarded a first-class degree Accountancy and Finance. Since then, Tom has shown that kind of dedication that allowed him to take on his own clients, delivering proven results and excellent service. Tom works on a variety of organisations, including one of our specialist sectors, charities. He helps businesses with strategies to increase cash-flow and profitability.
Tom commented:
“I'm delighted to be able to accept this position at Page Kirk. Coming through the ranks from when I first started on my placement scheme is a great accomplishment. From day one, Page Kirk's ethos of great customer service and employees working as one has been instilled in me. I would like to think my passion for helping the newer members of our team over my time with the firm helped me realise this goal. I look forward to mentoring many more current and future colleagues.”
Luke Shacklock, who currently works in the audit department, joined the firm as a placement student in 2016/17. Achieving a first-class degree in Accounting and Finance at Nottingham Trent University, he then came back to Page Kirk on our graduate scheme in 2018. Luke showed exceptional attention to detail as well as the ability and enthusiasm to take on new work.

“Having begun my career with Page Kirk - first as a university placement student, and subsequently as a graduate – it has been a privilege to have worked with a respected team that has provided me with a depth of experience, working alongside a broad range of businesses. It is an honour to see my hard work and commitment recognised by the partners with the promotion to Assistant Manager and demonstrates the commitment by the firm to providing career progression opportunities. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our clients to provide the high-quality service that Page Kirk is known for.”
