Keeping you informed: Cloud Accounting

Page Kirk are teaming up with QuickBooks – the world's No 1 cloud accounting solution – and Receipt Bank, the app that is revolutionising bookkeeping, to bring you the ultimate guide to cloud accounting.

We are holding a special free event on 7th March, where two specialists in the field will join a tax expert to discuss the advantages of the cloud and advise on the solutions available.

There are many benefits for you and your business in adopting cloud accounting:

  • Improved quality of record keeping
  • Real time up-to-date financial information
  • Paperless filing system
  • Reduced likelihood of error (due to less manual entry)
  • More efficient management of business affairs
  • Less time gathering and inputting data

By moving everything into the cloud, you will also ensure you are Making Tax Digital compliant. If you haven't already heard about Making Tax Digital (MTD), it's a big change that will affect VAT registered businesses from April this year.

You will have to maintain your records electronically and submit your VAT return to HMRC through a portal from your digital software. The current facility for filing VAT Returns through HMRC's website will no longer be available.

Join Our Cloud Accounting Event – 7th March, 11am – 2pm

Page Kirk LLP, Sherwood House, 7 Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 6LB

Jack Moore and James Haywood, who head up our cloud department and Neil Moon, our Director of Tax, will be briefing you about cloud accounting and Making Tax Digital. They will explain exactly what it is, your obligations and the new digital tools available to you.

Dan Henniker from QuickBooks and Sebastian Southwick from Receipt Bank will explore the benefits of using their software and explain how it can help your business.

You'll learn the answers to the following questions:

  • How does cloud accounting work?
  • How will cloud accounting improve your business?
  • How will your business be affected by the upcoming legislative changes?
  • How can you ensure that you have compatible accounting software in place, ahead of the change in VAT return procedures?

We'll be laying on lunch and you will have opportunities for networking.
