Page Kirk backs three new charities for 2019

After the success of last year's fundraising efforts on behalf of Meningitis Now, we're looking forward to helping some other very worthy causes this year. We're going to split any cash that we raise between three different charities based in the East Midlands, each with their own unique vision and mission.

The first one is Artcore – a visual arts charity that seeks to share learning, strengthen relationships and boost confidence through art, while stimulating people's imagination and enhancing job prospects. They believe that everyone within our diverse community should have access to the transformative power of the arts.

The second is The Dyslexia Association, which provides services to directly assist and improve the lives of people affected by the condition. They provide advice to families, educators and employers and seek to raise awareness of the issues Dyslexia raises.

The final charity benefiting from our 2019 fundraising efforts will be Nottinghamshire Hospice, which for nearly forty years has provided high-quality care services to adults with terminal and life-threatening illnesses, as well as their families and carers.

These are three really deserving causes and the team at Page Kirk is looking forward to helping them out financially and having some fun in the process! There will be a monthly charity day on the last Friday of each month, where we dress down in return for a donation and organise bake sales and games. We'll also be organising themed charity days and special events to raise money, as we have in the past. Watch this space!

We've already had some reaction to the news from charity representatives.

Ruchita Shaikh, Executive Director of Artcore, says: 'We value the support from Page Kirk, which will help raise awareness of the charity and further support Artcore's work, contributing towards the delivery of positive activities specifically for disadvantaged children and young people.'

Dee Caunt, Chief Executive of The Dyslexia Association, says: 'We really appreciate the support from Page Kirk, their employees and clients. Their wonderful fundraising efforts will enable us to provide our support to more people, help us raise more awareness of dyslexia, the impact it can have on people's lives and the solutions we can provide to support our clients of all ages. We will look forward to working with you this year, thank you.'

Rowena Naylor-Morrell, Chief Executive at Nottinghamshire Hospice, said: “We're delighted that Page Kirk have chosen to support us as their charity of the year, joining our 2019 family of corporate supporters. We are looking forward to working with them. This new partnership and the funds raised will help us provide crucial care and support for patients with terminal illness and their families across Nottinghamshire.”

Senior partner, John Wallis commented:

“I'm extremely proud that we have chosen Artcore, The Dyslexia Association and Nottinghamshire Hospice to be Page Kirk charities of 2019. They all do remarkable work to improve lives all in very different ways. It is great we have such varied charities that all have different objectives but with the same aim, to improve people's lives. We hope our support throughout 2019 will not only help towards raising money which will aid the charities, but also raise awareness. Page Kirk will aim to push ourselves, work as a team and pull together to do everything we can to support these valuable organisations.'
