New joiners include a familiar face
As part of our commitment to recruiting local talent, four new recruits have recently arrived at Gregory Boulevard and one of them seems very familiar! That's because Bryn Luffman spent time with the firm on a placement year and has now returned as part of our graduate scheme.
He's joining us with a degree in Accounting and Finance and will be a part of our team in the Accounts and Audit Department, while studying for his ACA qualification.
Welcome home, Bryn!
The Nottingham Trent University graduate said:
“It is a privilege to return to Page Kirk after my placement year with the firm. I am looking forward to studying towards ACA qualification whilst also contributing knowledge that I have gained at University and putting it into practice.”
He'll be joined by Martin Cull, who has a degree in Natural Sciences from Nottingham University.
“It feels great to start working for Page Kirk,” says Martin, “and throw myself into learning lots of new things that I can put into practice! I hope, first of all, to pass all my exams and following that start to enjoy my career as an accountant.”
The third new joiner is Joshua Ruthven, who left Loughborough University with a degree in Mathematics & Economics. He is now studying towards the joint ACA-CTA qualification and joining Page Kirk's Tax Department.
Joshua is enthusiastic about the new opportunity too:
“I am really excited to be a part of Page Kirk, and start the next chapter of my life after university. I am looking forward to gaining first-hand experience working within tax and accounts. I chose the ACA/CTA qualification to be able to learn new key concepts and skills then at the same time being able to apply that knowledge in a professional environment. After studying for the qualification, I aim to be a fully-qualified tax professional at Page Kirk.”
Of course, we regularly welcome placement students too, who are looking for valuable work experience as part of their university course. It's a great way of spotting and nurturing future talent. That's why we're welcoming Michael Mottershead, who is joining us for a year from Nottingham Trent University.
Michael said:
“I am delighted to be starting my job at Page Kirk, with it being such a well-known business at Nottingham Trent. I can't wait to get started and hope I can contribute towards the company's success, whilst learning all the important attributes needed for the future. After completing my degree, I hope to come back and pursue a career in the accounts and tax industry at Page Kirk.”
Senior Partner John Wallis gave a warm welcome to all the new recruits.
“We are very pleased to have Bryn re-joining Page Kirk to complete his ACA qualification after his successful placement year,” he said. “He showed a great work ethic and is very knowledgeable in the field. We are also excited to have three new members of the team, Martin joining our ACA graduate scheme, Joshua joining our ACA-CTA graduate scheme and Michael joining the firm on our placement scheme. We look forward to seeing them progress at Page Kirk.”
