Nottingham Post Business Awards 2017

We are proud to be the Host Sponsor of the Nottingham Post Business Awards 2017 which will be held on the 24th May at the East Midlands Conference Centre.

John Wallis, one of our partners, was interviewed by the Nottingham Post about our Sponsorship.

Why have you chosen to support the Nottingham Post Business Awards?

Page Kirk has a long-standing involvement with the Nottingham Business Post, so it seemed like a natural progression to become a part of the business awards. The aim of this established ceremony is to recognise true talent in the business community. In my experience, there are plenty of companies and individuals achieving great things, but they often go unnoticed in the wider community. The awards are a way of correcting that and giving them a higher profile. Nottingham is a wonderful place to be doing business and this is the perfect way to celebrate companies that have demonstrated excellence in their field.

Why have you chosen to become the host sponsor of the evening?

We pride ourselves on being an independent chartered accountancy firm based in Nottingham and we therefore celebrate all things local. Our business comes from other local businesses, so it seems natural to show our support to companies throughout Nottinghamshire, of all sizes and sectors. Becoming the host sponsor was the perfect way to do this. We understand how important it is to be recognised in Nottingham’s business world, and how beneficial it can be for all who get nominated. We are really excited and privileged to be involved and look forward to discovering the winners of all 13 categories and how winning the awards will assist them in the months and years to come.

What are the impact of these awards on the local area?

Nottingham Post Business Awards are the most recognised business awards in the Nottinghamshire area and have a great deal of integrity. Without a doubt, this impacts on the local area, as it inspires other businesses to grow and achieve great things. Entrepreneurs, owners and managers are inevitably interested in what other business people have achieved and will try to replicate their success. Additionally, we believe that all the sponsors taking the opportunity to come together has a positive impact on the local area, as it demonstrates a unified business community that is working together to enhance and encourage businesses in the region.

How does your own company contribute to the business community?

Page Kirk’s origins can be traced back to 1897 and we have seen many changes in Nottingham’s affluent business community in that time. Now, in 2017, the business community has never been so diverse and full of possibilities and opportunities, so we really want to give something back. We always support our clients through any business challenges they face and, through our personal service, we will always go the extra mile. We love to meet and work with inspiring businesses in Nottingham and we feel this sponsorship will firmly cement those relationships. We hope our connection with the awards will inspire and encourage entrepreneurs and existing businesses to grow and prosper in the future.
