Student Placement Scheme

Tom Johnson and Tom Leigh both joined Page Kirk for a 1 year placement on our student placement scheme. Our placement scheme has many benefits including;

• Opportunity to liaise with current ACA students and newly qualified accountants.
• Working within a vibrant and enthusiastic office.
• The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to apply for a 3 year training contract with the firm on completion of a successful placement year

“I was extremely proud to secure a placement position with Page Kirk. The whole experience has been fantastic, the work has been very diverse and interesting, and everyone was so friendly and so helpful. Throughout the twelve months my roles have included being in the tax department completing personal and partnership tax returns, then moving into the accounts department where as well as preparing accounts I got to audit a range of different clients.

The knowledge I’ve gained over this year has put me in really good stead going into my final year at Nottingham Trent University and hopefully should enable me to obtain a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance. I would really recommend this placement scheme to any student who is interested in becoming a chartered accountant as the experience you gain is second to none as you are given a lot of responsibility. My time was spent in the accounts department creating accounts for clients, along with Bookkeeping and VAT Returns. The experience I have had here will help me further in my studies due to the constant support and the chance I have to expand and consolidate my learning in financial accounting.
